Great question! A commission is a work of art that is specifically requested by the client. Think of it as "custom art." This could take the form of a portrait, scripted signage/quote, a painted memorable landscape, drawing of childhood home, etc. Whatever it is, it is a collaboration between the artist creativity and client's goals!

The cost of a commission varies on subject matter and size desired by the client. Portrait commissions (including pets!) can range anywhere from $75 - $850, depending on different elements that affect labor and materials used. Art by Elliot is interested in hearing about specific budgets, and working with clients where they are at based on their specific needs. If you have any questions, contact Art by Elliot directly! Yes! Pets are included as figures in portraits.

Yes! Art by Elliot accepts return requests up to 30 days after receiving your work of art. Please complete a return request to get started!

Unfortunately, no. While Art by Elliot does not directly teach art classes, he is earning his degree in Art Therapy to potentially work with clients through creative expression. If you're interested in taking art classes, I would recommend checking in with your community to see if there are any local classes at colleges, libraries, or community centers near you!
